Testimonials
"Paul’s visit has been practice changing. He told us of his people, his land, and his history through a special story, and he taught us the interpretation of that story through dance, art, and music. His passion and approach to his heritage and land, and the way he imparted his spirit to the children, has permeated the stories and art that they do, and truly changed the way they see the land. The way Paul did this was inspiring, and I recommend others to invite him to their centre. We have more than met requirements under Quality Areas 1 and 6 of the QIP with this visit ."

"We were privileged to have Paul Spearim visit our centre recently to provide an indigenous experience for our children. Paul Spearim is a master storyteller who totally engages the children through traditional indigenous stories, songs, dances, and art. Not only were the children enthralled but so were the staff!
The impact of Paul’s visit stayed with the children long after the initial visit as the children revisited the songs and dance and investigated different aspects of indigenous culture and art.
Paul’s deep connection with the land and its animals is contagious, and our children have been infected. They are now more aware and conscious of their impact on the world around them and how family and community are central to this.
As a teacher with 30 years’ experience, I have always tried to understand and appreciate indigenous culture and include it in my program, but it was difficult due to the lack of information and the mystery of indigenous culture. Paul rectified this in one visit. Paul is a gracious and giving individual who is passionate about sharing his culture. I now feel comfortable and confident to include elements of indigenous culture in my program, without fear of being disrespectful or inappropriate in the ways that I present it."
